Bianchi Style 3 – the famous 20 coin style! The “Holy Grail” of south Texas spurs, these fabulous heavy 1″ heel band spurs have the optional silver shanks which listed in Joe Bianchi’s Catalog G at an additional $1 cost. This style was offered in 4 weights, I think this is the next-to-heaviest, or maybe the “extra heavy’ he describes. He also offered the button monogram which is “JG” here on the insiide buttons for a free upgrade. These spurs are in unbelievable unworn condition, with the eagles clearly visible unworn on all 20 coins, unlike most. It is my opinion, based on my research, that later Bianchi domed these coin mountings and buffed off the Mexican eagle. The early “J. BIANCHI, VICTORIA, TEX.” inside heel band marking verifies this. Rowels are 12 pt. as shown in my book on page 95; guaranteed 100% original with no damage, replaced mountings, nothing, and this is rare, lemme tell you. I probably have handled more Bianchi spurs than anyone, spent 11 years researching book and am still learning, but this is the best of the best. These unbelievable spurs have a fascinating provenance which i will disclose to the buyer. They were found on the original old rotten boots and still sport their original leathers! The Holy Grail of south Texas spurs, POR.
