Battle of Britain proofed on top left side of back strap as shown on page 185 of Kopec, et al, A Study of the Colt Single Action Army Revolver, .45 caliber, 5 ½ inch barrel, mint condition as new, unturned cylinder, beautiful case hardening, serial number 357,143, this exact serial noted on page 182 in Kopec’s book.. Only 163 of these revolvers were finished up at the factory in 1940 and sent to the British Purchasing agent, as verified by the factory letter, with exactly 63 being nickel, so only 100 of these blue, case-hardened revolvers were made. Being as new, this one is the best one I have seen in 50 years of collecting.
