Historical wooden pine belonged to Texas Ranger Captain June Peak, the ranger responsible for catching the Bass gang at Salt Creek where Seaborn Barnes was killed in the late 1870’s. 100% authentic with papers of provenance to legendary Texas Ranger author Robert Stephens who obtained it from Peak’s daughter in the 60’s or 70’s. Hand made, primitive has “JP” initials burned on top side and “June Peak” burned underside, probably dates from the ‘teens. Two streets in Peak’s home town of Dallas, Texas named after him, “Junius” and “Peak” Streets, Price $250
